River City Cattle Company (Centreville, AL) is offering locally farm raised and grain finished beef again this year. These calves are homegrown Sim-Angus cattle. Processing is scheduled for April of 2021. These calves will finish out with avg. weights of 1000-1200 pounds. Homestead Farm and Packing in Lucedale Mississippi will be processing the beef and vacuum sealing the meat custom to your order. Our pricing on the calves is $2.25/lb. live weight in addition to a processing fee paid directly to me of $0.74/lb. hanging weight upon delivery. This will give you an avg. price of $1500/half beef and 3,000/whole beef (assuming 1,100# live weight). A $300 deposit is required for a half beef and a $600 deposit is required for a whole beef.
