With 880 miles of shoreline and more than 40,000 surface acres, Lake Martin is the cleanest and most beautiful lake in Alabama and was designated by the state as the first (and only) "Treasured Alabama Lake." Lake Watch is dedicated to preserving and improving the water quality of Lake Martin and surrounding waters. Lake Watch takes a proactive approach to protecting and enhancing the water quality of Lake Martin by working with governmental and non-governmental organizations within the Tallapoosa River Basin and throughout the state on water quality issues.
