NRC primarily works with private landowners offering assistance in forest management. This includes making recommendations and helping the landowner implement these recommendations. Specific activities include: cruising, marking, tree planting, appraisals, assessments, expert witness, control burning, management plan preperation. We also offer arborist and urban forestry consulting. These services include municipal tree inventories (streets, parks, and public buildings), urban forest management plans. risk assessment plans, and emergency storm response plans, expert withess, hazard tree evaluations and risk assments, tree evaluation and valuation as well as tree protection during development and construction.

Experience:
Spent 1st year out of school working for a consulting forester, Spent the next 5 years working for St. Joe Paper Company in the Florida panhandle, and have spent the remainder of my time in my own consulting business (1989). In the early years of my business I contracted with bigger consultants and worked on masters degree, since those first couple of years, I have been working primarily with private landowners in helping them meet their management objectives.
Success story:
I helped a client with a timber sale many years ago and since that first timber sale, which was a big success and helped me get my foot in the door with this landowner who had been a do it yourselfer in his younger day, I have been able to show how forest management and planning ahead does lead to greater yields. Additionally, I have been able to help this client and his wife understand the importance of estate planning. By putting him in touch with the proper legal counsel and working with this gentleman and the lawyer, I have been able to help this client achieve the peace of mind of knowing that his family farm and his legacy of putting all this land together more than 50 years ago wil last for many generations.
