Alabama Coastal Heritage Trust Updated:07/2023

The Alabama Coastal Heritage Trust (ACHT) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to restoring, protecting and preserving beach and dune habitat for our threatened and endangered species in the coastal counties of Alabama.

ACHT is working hard to ensure our coastal habitats are protected. Alabama’s limited coastline contains extraordinary treasures of protected lands within the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, Gulf State Park, Fort Morgan State Historical Site, and the Dauphin Island Bird Sanctuary. Privately held land within and around all of these treasured areas has been proposed for new or expanded roads, high density single family homes, and condominium developments. Coastal Heritage targets these high threat areas for purchase for conservation to protect these sites forever.
